As I finished the book Brave New World, I realized that our world today revolves around intimate relationships with one another and drugs. We all go for what makes us happy. Even in Brave New World it is like this and there is no question about it. Human beings in this new world do not have any self respect and today people are doing the same and make a living on having sexual activities and get paid for it. People like Lenina, Fanny, and Bernard do not know what it is like to be committed to one person and as time goes on by in today's world people do not stay with the same person even though they made a commitment long ago. What have we become?
Also, drugs are available and can be received in a blink of an eye. Now matter if you live in the new world or today's world, drugs are the solutions to people's unhappiness. The drugs used in the new world are called soma and whenever anyone has a feeling besides happiness they are giving soma in order to keep society running smoothly. If you think about it,we do the same when psycho people are not in control of their body. Doctors give them prescription drugs to keep them from ruining their life or society. Some of Huxley's predictions is ironically quite correct and it gives me an eerie feeling and make me want to bite my nails.
Hopefully, society today will come to their senses and correct how to feel happiness without having an obsession.

The thing with happiness is that it is ADDICTIVE. What person wouldn't want to be happy all the time? NO ONE.
