Huxley's Utopia

So, I’m reading Aldous Huxley’s ‘Brave New World’ as the rest of you are, and during the reading process, I’ve come across some bumps (questions) that I’m hoping some of you can answer for me or share your opinions on. In the beginning of Huxley’s book is a quote by Nicolas Berdiaeff:
“Utopias appear more feasible than was previously believed. And we are now faced with problems otherwise distressing: how to avoid their realization definitive ... Utopias are realizable. Life towards utopias. And perhaps a new century begins there, a century on the intellectuals and the educated classes dreaming of ways to avoid utopias and return to a non-utopian, less "perfect" and free.”

In chapter 1 the Director talks about cloning to help mass production industries or maybe to stabilize the economy. But how would that stabilize the economy? Wouldn’t more humans make things un-stabilized? More humans wouldn’t be my idea of a perfect Utopia.
